The official UNI web colors are used on any screen-oriented content, including websites, kiosks, displays and presentation slides.
UNI Purple
Hexidecimal: 4B116F
RGB: R=75, G=17, B=111
UNI Gold
Hexidecimal: FFCC00
RGB: R=255, G=204, B=0
The color combinations of black and gold or red and gold should never be used in close proximity to each other on the UNI web site. Those are the colors of the University of Iowa and Iowa State University.

Google keeps deleted messages in your trash label/folder for 30 days.
The best way to locate an email that you think you deleted is to login to the web client and use the search box. Once you search look for this text at the bottom of the message list:

Class groups are created as announcement-only mailing lists which means only the instructor can send email to the group. If you wish to allow open discussion among students, here's how.
Browse to Google Groups for uni.edu to see a list of the groups you a member of. If you are logged into your UNI Gmail account, you can click on the "Groups" link at the top.
If the URL in the address bar does not specify uni.edu, you are at Google's public group directory which is not maintained by UNI. Browse to http://groups.google.com/a/uni.edu to be sure you are at UNI's Google Groups page. Also...

When you use the Internet to access web pages, files, images and other downloaded content, your web browser caches information on your computer. The UNI Physical Plant owns mailing lists that are organized by office building. They were created to aid that office in notifying building occupants when planned service outages (heat, water, power, etc.) were scheduled. These lists are not restricted to use by only the Physical Plant, but that office should be consulted first by others wishing to use them.
These lists include faculty, staff and externals with offices in the specified building. Email holds are not recognized for faculty and staff. Externals will not receive the email if they have an email hold on their record.

Eduroam is an International federation of education and research WiFi networks. It provides a secure wireless network for CatID users at thousands of locations. Map of US institutions.
If you have a personal device or UNI-managed Apple product, select the eduroam wireless network. Sign in using your [CatID username]@uni.edu. Example, jpanther@uni.edu
If you have a UNI-managed Windows computer, please do the following to connect to eduroam outside of the UNI network:
Open up the list of wifi networks
Instead of choosing eduroam choose eduroam Offsite
