Connect Your Laptop to the eduroam WiFi Network

As of the Fall 2017 semester, eduroam is the primary campus wireless network. Use the instructions found below to connect your laptop to the new network.

Mac OS X or MacOS Sierra

Click on the WiFi networks icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen and click on the network called eduroam.

You will be prompted to enter your user name and password. Enter your username in the form of catid@uni.edu. For example: tcpanther@uni.edu. Then click on the join button.

You may be prompted to accept the security certificate. If you are, click Continue.

 

Windows 8.1/10

On your Windows laptop, click on the networks icon in the lower-right-hand corner of your screen. Look for the eduroam network and click on it.

You'll be prompted to connect to the new network. Ensure the check box is selected to connect automatically and then click Connect

You will be prompted to accept the security certificate, click Connect.

You will be prompted to enter your user name and passphrase. Ensure you enter your username as catid@uni.edu. Example: tcpanther@uni.edu. Then enter your passphrase and click OK.
