Constituent Relationship Management (CRM)

UNI selected Salesforce as our campus wide CRM system in the fall of 2017.  In the summer of 2018 we went live with phase I, which focused on recruiting.  Work to further enhance the recruiting efforts extended through much of 2019.  Since then we have been continuing to refine and improve recruiting efforts as well as develop plans for applying Salesforce technology more broadly to campus.  One example of being used widely on campus is the blackthorn events module.  This is being used by over 20 areas on campus and in the past 2 years.

Recent efforts (summer 2023) have developed a new subscription center so when we email constituents, they can selectively unsubscribe and subscribe to content that interests them.  With that in place as well as a new Marketing Cloud subunit for outreach.uni.edu, we will be working with a variety of areas to bring data into Salesforce, and help them get going with Marketing Cloud for their outreach efforts.

We are also engaging with Business and Community Services to get them going with the Salesforce platform (Summer, Fall and Winter 2023).

Our long term goal for the CRM system is to ensure staff have a complete 360 degree view of the universities interactions with those we serve including prospects, students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, community members, event ticket holders, donors, schools, employers and the list goes on.
