Seth Vickers
Educational Technologist - Educational Technology & Media Services
Seth is an Educational Technologist at UNI. He received his BA in Film Studies from UNI in 2003 and his MA in Performance and Training Technology from UNI in 2012. From 2003 to 2012, Seth served as a Production Specialist for the Regents' Center for Early Developmental Education. After receiving his MA, Seth worked as an Instructional Designer for Allen College followed by work as an Instructional Designer at Hawkeye Community College. Seth has extensive experience in instructional design using Blackboard as well as Canvas. Seth is a certified Quality Matters Applying the Quality Matters Rubric facilitator and a certified Peer Reviewer. He has helped create course templates built on pedagogically sound principles from Quality Matters. He has also helped many courses through the official Quality Matters certification process. With the emergence of products using Generative AI, Seth has led professional learning communities and designed workshops incorporating best teaching practices for the use of Generative AI. This includes promoting AI Literacy for both faculty and students.
