To customize the labels associated with speed dial buttons on an Avaya 9611G phone, begin by pressing the HOME key. Press OK to select the Options & Settings menu. Use the Up/Down Arrow key to select Application Settings. Use the Up/Down Arrow key to select Personalize Labels... Now select the button you that you wish to modify. If you wish to transfer a call to voicemail: Press the transfer button and dial extension 4-0000.   You will be prompted to enter 5 digit extension of the voicemail box. Then press complete. ​Speed dial buttons can be programmed by calling voice services or they can be modified by following this procedure. Lift receiver off hook/press speaker button. Dial *10; receive second dial tone.  Highlight/press the speed dial button you'd like to program (marked SD). Program the extension number and press #. Receive 3-beep confirmation tone/dial tone (Press another speed dial button to program or hang up if finished).

  Some groups are configured such that anyone who wants to join can do so without needing an invitation from a manager. When traveling in China, you may find that access to Google's GMail service is blocked at the country's "Great Firewall."  This can often be circumvented by use of a third-party VPN service that you've purchased prior to your trip.
