Service Desk Technician

Position Description:

The IT Service Desk's Technicians provide additional technical assistance for personal devices and network troubleshooting.

Common tasks:

  • Virus removal
  • Reformatting operating systems
  • Data backup
  • Application and system troubleshooting
  • Diagnosing internet connections for students living on-campus (ResNet) or the UNI network

Reports to: Service Desk staff

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills, such as understanding operating systems (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android) and networking (TCP/IP, wireless technology)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills

Starting Pay: $8.25/hour

Additional pay increases each semester and opportunity to advance.
