You can access your greetings via phone or via the UNI voicemail web portal. To access them via the web portal, navigate to https://voicemail.uni.edu in your web browser and sign in. Once logged in, click on Greetings.
Once in this area, you can see all your various greeting options including which greetings that are already configured.
Different Greeting Options
There are three tabs in the above screen shot, each of which contains various different greetings. The default greetings are the most common. The section that follows will contain descriptions of all these default greetings.
Name Greeting
The name greeting is simply you saying your name. This greeting is configured at the time of voicemail box initialization.
Internal Personal Greeting
This greeting is used when a number, internal to UNI, calls you and you do not pick up.
External Personal Greeting
Similar to the Internal Personal Greeting, but played instead when a caller, external to UNI, calls you and you do not pick up.
Internal Busy Greeting
The Internal Busy Greeting is played when a number, internal to UNI, calls you and you are already on the phone.
External Busy Greeting
The External Busy Greeting is played when a number, external to UNI, calls you and you are already on the phone.
Internal Unavailable Greeting
The Internal Unavailable Greeting is played when a number, internal to UNI, calls you and your availability is set to Unavailable via the Voicemail web portal.
External Unavailable Greeting
The External Unavailable Greeting is played when a number, external to UNI, calls you and your availability is set to Unavailable via the Voicemail web portal.
Location and Custom Greetings
You can use the other two tabs of the Greetings dialog box to set custom greetings based on locations that you have configured in your UNI Voicemail Web Portal or for different phone numbers that are in your contacts.
