Call Forwarding

Note: Once this features has been enabled it can only be controlled via your UNI desk phone or by reaching out to IT for changes. If you are still on campus and have access to your phone, you may follow the instructions yourself to enable forwarding. If you are off campus and will not be returning for some time, you may create a request so IT can do this for you. Please make sure you provide your cell phone or home phone number in the request.

Activate Call Forwarding to temporarily forward your calls to another number. 

To activate:

Listen      for dial tone

Press       CALL FORWARD or *72

Enter       On-campus extension or off campus number to which you want calls forwarded. 

  • For on-campus enter 5 digit extension.
  • For off-campus local number enter 9 + 7 digit phone number.
  • For off-campus long distance number  enter 9 + 1 + 10 digit phone number.

Listen       for confirmation tone - hang up

NOTE: You may hear a ring-ping tone from your telephone as each call is forwarded.

To cancel:

Listen      for dial tone

Press       CALL FORWARD or #72

NOTE: Your calls will now ring at your own telephone.
