Spring Provisioning for Duo Multi-Factor Authentication

Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required for all University students, faculty, and staff to better protect your CatID account. Duo MFA requires you to have a "second factor" (most commonly your smartphone) to successfully login to most UNI systems.

Students new to UNI are not provisioned for Duo MFA until several weeks into the semester. For the Spring 2025 semester, that date will be Wednesday, February 19th. After the provisioning process runs that morning, the next time students try to login to any CatID protected service at UNI (e.g. eLearning, Gmail, MyUNIverse) you will be required to enroll in Duo MFA.

You can find information about Duo MFA here.

If you want to self-enroll in Duo MFA prior to Wednesday, February 19th, you can do so by going here.

The enrollment instructions for Duo MFA are located here.

As always, if you have any questions about or problems with the enrollment process, please don't hesitate to reach out to the IT Service Desk during their hours of operation:
